"Reflection at the turtle pond: The beauty of slow and steady"
"This week, I found myself captivated by the serene allure of the Turtle Pond, home to nearly 30 graceful tortoises. I spent a leisurely 40 minutes there, observing these remarkable creatures. I fed them, watched them move at their own unhurried pace, and witnessed their moments of stillness on the sun-warmed stones.

As I marveled at the simplicity of their lives, I couldn't help but recall the classic fable of the 'Tortoise and the Hare.' In the story, the hare races ahead, almost reaching the finish line, while the tortoise progresses steadily but with patience. In the end, the hare's hasty sprint is no match for the tortoise's steady, unwavering approach.

The lesson from this whimsical tale became vividly clear to me at the Turtle Pond. It's a reminder that in our own lives, the journey itself, the act of being consistent, and the joy of savoring each moment along the way often matter more than the finish line. Life is a beautiful journey, and sometimes taking it slow allows us to appreciate the world around us in a profound and meaningful way."
"Appreciating the beauty of little things"
While I was waiting at the bus stop after a long, busy and tiring day of teaching and working on assignments, I found myself in a tranquil moment. The weather was absolutely perfect, and I was relishing it. Then, a woman with silky hair elegantly tied in a bun appeared, carrying books in her hands. She stood there, gazing at the sky, and her choice of a light pink jacket complemented the colors of the sky beautifully.

The harmonious palette of the sky, her jacket, and her hair captivated me. It was one of those moments that warmed my heart and brought a smile to my face, reminding me of the sheer beauty in life's simple pleasures. Inspired by this scene and accompanied by my favorite songs, I couldn't help but sketch the moment right there at the bus stop.
